Welcome to TankBuilder, we are proud to offer high-quality tanks backed by a comprehensive warranty. Please review the terms and conditions below for complete details.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

TankBuilder tanks are guaranteed against defective materials for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

To ensure the validity of your warranty, the following conditions must be met:

Inspection Upon Delivery: The Buyer must inspect the tank(s) upon receipt. Any defects or non-conformities must be reported to TankBuilder within 7 days of delivery.

​​

Installation and Commissioning: The tank must be installed and commissioned by a qualified and competent installer, in compliance with current building regulations. Installation must follow the provided instructions, and the tank must be maintained and serviced as per TankBuilder’s recommendations.

​

Service Record: A detailed service record must be maintained and made available for inspection if required.

​

Proper Usage: The tank must not be modified or used for purposes other than its intended design.

​

Water Quality: The water passing through the tank must be potable, with chloride levels not exceeding 200mg/h.

EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY

The warranty does not cover the following:
 

  • Effects of Scale: Damage or malfunction caused by scaling is excluded.

 

  • Improper Installation or Maintenance: Failure to follow TankBuilder’s installation, operation, or maintenance guidelines.

 

  • Unauthorised Repairs or Modifications: Installation, repair, modification, or movement of the tank by individuals other than professional plumbers.

 

  • Damage from External Causes: This includes wilful damage, accidents, pests, fire, flooding, lightning, power surges, or any other event beyond TankBuilder’s reasonable control.

 

  • Neglect or Misuse: Any form of misuse, abuse, or neglect of the product.

 

  • Inadequate Inhibitor Levels: Insufficient or poor-quality inhibitor in the heating system.

WARRANTY RESOLUTION

If the tank is deemed defective due to manufacturing faults, TANKBUILDER will: 

​

  • Repair or replace the defective tank at no charge.

​

  • Alternatively, at our discretion, provide a refund for the tank.

 

​​Labour costs for repairs within the first 12 months of the warranty may be reimbursed up to a maximum value of €750, provided the tank is confirmed as defective under the terms outlined. Beyond the first 12 months, TankBuilder’s maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

TankBuilder shall not be held liable for:

​

  • Loss of services or the cost of substitute services.

​

  • Lost profits or expenses related to third party claims.

​

  • Any consequential or punitive damages arising from the loss of use or failure of the warranted product to perform.

JURISDICTION

In the event of a dispute, the buyer and TankBuilder agree that all meetings and/or court appearances will take place within the Irish jurisdiction.

WARRANTY VALIDATION

To validate this warranty, the application form provided with the product must be completed and returned to TankBuilder within 30 days from the date of purchase.
